Hey, Everymoms!
Can you believe it’s July already? Summer is flying by and we suddenly found ourselves frantically checking the calendar counting down the days we have left to make the most of it. That’s why we put together this summer bingo card! It’s the perfect low-key way to add a little structure (and a lot of fun) to your days. We created two versions: one pre-filled with simple activities the whole fam can enjoy, (like bike rides and board game nights), a few activities just for the kiddos (like completing a coloring page when mom needs a break!) and, one blank version so you can build your own based on what your kids want to do (or what you actually have energy for). Stick it on the fridge, hand out some stickers, and let the summer memory-making begin!
Have a movie night
check out this nostalgic list for ideas!
Go for a color walk
Pick a color and play a game to see how many times you can spot it on your walk! If you’re feeling extra generous, let the kids pick out a treat of that color too.
Have a family olympics day
The best part about this is really anything can be an Olympic sport (folding laundry?? summer closet cleaning? all viable)
Go to the farmers market
A must on any summer bucket list!
Make homemade ice cream
Not as intimidating as it sounds! Especially with these easy recipes.
Volunteer in your community
We’re raising a generation of kind kids over here!
Host a lemonade stand
A Costco-sized country time lemonade mix can take you far on a hot summer day. Bonus, you may just inspire a future entrepreneur!
Try a new ice cream spot
If you have older kiddos, it can be a fun lesson on how to use Google Maps and online reviews to discover new places.
Go to the zoo
A classic for a reason
Board game night
We love these!
Have a picnic lunch
A great excuse to rock some gingham…
Go swimming
Brush up on these safety tips before you go!
Learn a new word
Bonus points for whoever can use it the most for the rest of the day!
Have a water fight
Go to a free concert
Pro tip: check your local library for fun summer programming
Create a chalk mural
Read 3 books from the library
These are the best books for early reading
Go berry picking
Complete a coloring page
Take a day trip to a neighboring town
Just pack these road trip essentials
Take a family bike ride
Make friendship bracelets
Or swap for any of these fun summer crafts
Write a letter to a family member or friend
Watch the sunset
Not a fan of those? Have your own ideas? Make your own! (and if your need some inspo, just browse our Summer Bucket List)
Cheers,
The Everymom Team
