Hi, In case you're wondering, it's still January. But yes, we've finally reached the final day of the longest month ever. As our Assistant Editor Patty said earlier today: "January was a marathon!" Between the awful news cycle and everyone being sick right now, I think we are all very glad to see February coming.
On the topic of sickness—at our school we had 9 kids out in a 22 kid class last week. I was at a celebration in my son's classroom yesterday for an hour and during that time two kids went home sick. My son was one of the 9 kids out last week with a mystery virus. It's not one specific illness. Not a flu outbreak or anything like that, everyone has something different. So we all just have to wait it out. And I'm hearing it's the same for families across the country. Because, January. But, I have to say the cozy cuddles and sick day movie watching was kind of nice to help us slow down a bit as this drag of a month comes to an end. I've gotten really good at making sick day soups.
Bring on Valentine's Day!
